Leader Training

Thanks for volunteering to be a Cub Scout leader, and welcome to the challenges and opportunities, joys and satisfaction that will be yours as you guide and influence the lives of boys.

Fast Start training is the first step for any new volunteer and is to be delivered immediately after a new leader registers and before he or she meets with any youth member.

Pack-administered self-study is the primary method of delivery for Fast Start training. A pack trainer usually supports the new leader during this training period.

Sometime soon you will want to participate in Basic Leader Training for additional information to support you throughout the year. For a wealth of theme-related material, be sure to attend your district's monthly Cub Scout leader roundtable.
